Sally Lee has done it again. Creatively written and colorfully illustrated, The Rabbit and The Snowman, transports you into the forest where a group of children build a snowman. Once their creation is complete, the children depart and never return. Worry consumes the snowman that he did something wrong. Which leaves him second guessing himself that his looks may have something to do with it.
“Maybe his carrot nose wasn’t straight enough. Maybe there were too many holes in his scarf.â€
Happiness surrounds the snowman the day a rabbit befriends him. However, to the dismay of the rabbit, once the weather changes he, too, feels abandoned by his new found friend.
What happens next will inspire readers to believe that friendship really can be everlasting. This beautiful picture book is sure to become a welcomed addition to any home library.
About the author: Sally Lee has a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art and art history from Colby College. Her work has been exhibited in several shows and in private collections, and she is the recipient of an art grant from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
